Whether in a clinic or in a first opinion practise, we all encounter diabetic dogs and cats during routine consultations or as in-patients. Treatment challenges are likely to differ between a small practice and a big hospital but the goal is the same everywhere – to provide the best care to our patients and support their owners.
This questionnaire was created at the Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen as a part of a residency project with the aim to obtain a better picture about the management of diabetic pets across European countries. These data will enable us to analyse difficulties, trends and preferences related to treatment of diabetes mellitus. This information will allow identification of potential problems and challenges in the management of the disease and will help prepare targeted CPD events and educate veterinary students. In this way we are hoping to improve the management and the welfare of our diabetic patients.
By completing the survey I consent that my answers will be used for the purpose of the research into management of diabetes in dogs and cats.
The questionnaire is anonymous and no personal data will be collected. It contains mainly multiple-choice questions and it should take approximately 15 minutes. As a small thank you, you can win one of 3 Amazon vouchers of 50 EUR if you decide to provide your email address at the end of the questionnaire. Providing your email address is voluntary. Email addresses will only be used for the purpose of the draw for Amazon vouchers and will not be used in connection with your responses to the survey or to contact you in any other matter than to inform you about winning the voucher and sending you the voucher per email.
Thank you very much for your help, we are looking forward to receiving your answers!
